About Us

Fifteen Years of Impact

Agape Care International (ACI) was formed in 2006 to inspire, equip, and mobilize support for human rights initiatives and community empowerment, particularly for marginalized and minority communities across the world.

The organization’s mission is to educate and inform governmental and community leaders, policymakers, legislators, religious organizations, and concerned citizens about systemic violations of human and religious rights of minority communities, and to advocate for governmental, financial, and security assistance to these vulnerable and persecuted communities.

ACI also works for the empowerment of less fortunate in the world, with specific focus in East Africa and in South Asia, by partnering with local leaders to provide programmatic and financial assistance that ultimately advances education, healthcare, poverty and malnutrition, youth empowerment, and skills training.

Our Work

Agape Care International’s mission extends both to the US and abroad. We have provided support in urban communities in the United States, as well as throughout East Africa and South Asia. As our mission expands, we look forward to developing new partnerships with local organizations to increase our impact across the globe.

We are proud to be an Allied member of the Council for Inclusive Capitalism with the Vatican. The Council is committed to making the world fairer, more inclusive, and sustainable. ACI’s work since its inception has been centered around these key goals. We look forward to working with fellow allies to continue the work that must be done in order to bring equality, inclusivity, and sustainability to every part of the world.

Ukraine

ACI is proud to sponsor the creation of the The Center for Humanitarian Technology, a non-profit, global humanitarian agency that harnesses the power of volunteer engineering, technology, and operations experts, to develop, deploy and operate—at no cost—information and communication technology to support NGOs’ scalable humanitarian emergency relief efforts. CFHT services are delivered from the Cloud as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) in support of humanitarian Missions that led and operated by end-users employed by our NGO partners.

CFHT’s inaugural initiative, Ukraine ESC, connects evacuees—who request assistance via Telegram—with Case Workers who provide end-to-end, personalized support during an evacuee’s journey to safety. This includes assistance in planning transportation, destination selection, and connecting evacuees with networks and organizations that support high-risk extractions and provide material needs.

East Africa

We are strategic partners with the Ethiopian Assemblies of God Aid and Development Association. The Ethiopian Assemblies of God Church Aid and Development Association is a faith-based non-profit resident organization established in 2000. Since then, the organization has been engaged in several humanitarian activities rendering holistic development activities for vulnerable children and destitute women.

Ever since its establishment, EAGC-ADA has been reaching lives and changing the living condition of the poorest communities. ACI and EAGC-ADA are partnering together on youth empowerment programs targeted at youths and young adults (aged 15-35) to further their education, as well as gain vocational skills, life skills and resources for gainful livelihoods and self-reliance. ACI and EAGC-ADA are also partnering on a rural water supply project to reduce the prevalence of communicable diseases through improved access to potable/safe water and improved environmental sanitation and personal hygiene.

In addition to the EAGC-ADA, ACI also brings to bear a regional network of churches, universities, and local faith-based non-profits. ACI has a network of more than 81,000 churches throughout Africa, including more than 86,000 clergy and nearly 23 million adherents, allowing ACI and its partners to bring impact and regional change at scale.

South Asia

We are proud to support our youth empowerment program in Tamil Nadu, India, where we provide free education, clothing, and medical support for the most vulnerable. In addition to supporting these children in their education, housing, and daily needs, our charitable efforts also provide food, supplies, and other assistance to marginalized local communities.

Building on our success in Tamil Nadu, ACI is now expanding these youth empowerment efforts to other states across India, with the on-the-ground support of local partners.

United States

For the past 15 years, ACI has been a supporter and hand-in-hand partner with the Life Gate Christian Assembly in Trenton, New Jersey. Life Gate Christian Assembly has successfully run the Life Gate Christian Academy, an after-school program in inner-city Trenton, since its inception. The Academy has focused in recent years on STEM education, encouraging inner-city children to become interested in the sciences. The Academy will be restarting post-COVID and expanding its mission to involve local scientists from the public and private sector, as well as partnering with local institutions to provide science and technology resources to students.

Our Focus

Over the past fifteen years, ACI has worked with local organizations to impact change in a variety of developmental areas. While we customize our approach based on the needs of the local community, our key focus areas as an organization include the following

Infant & Newborn Health

Poverty & Malnutrion

Rural Water Supply

Religious & Ethnic Pluralism

Skills & Workforce Training

Our Core Competencies

ACI was built on a foundation of education. Our goal is to implement projects that result in local leaders gaining knowledge, capacity, and training to continue development projects in a recurring and sustainable manner for long-term impact and change. We focus on skills training, vocational training, and ultimately developing a community of self-reliance.

As a US-based NGO, we pride ourselves in identifying local leaders who are empowered to impact change in their communities. This includes working with national political leaders, the local business community, and local religious and charitable leaders to develop customized projects that meet the specific needs of their communities. We leverage local volunteers and workforce for program implementation to ensure that the majority of the project funds stay within the community.

Partnerships between ACI, the business community, and governmental entities provide a roadmap for long-term economic development and impact.  We are proud to work closely with both the public and private sectors to provide skills training and an environment for economic development to assist the local workforce, while also empowering the private sector to utilize their corporate social responsibility strategies for mutual beneficial impact.
